Wedding Cakes, Wedding Favours & Dessert Tables

Please get in touch with us via the enquiry form or by email/phone to make an enquiry or book a consultation (see contact details here).

We can discuss and confirm your order by email and phone, or during a consultation. Please kindly note that we recommend booking as far in advance as possible to secure your wedding date.

Wedding cakes are extremely fragile to transport which is why it’s essential that we deliver and set-up your tiered cakes on your wedding day.

Our studio is located in Little Leighs, Essex and we deliver to all surrounding regions such as London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and East Anglia.

Set-up at the venue is generally between 1 -1.5 hours and travel is charged at £0.45 per mile plus travel time at £15.00 per hour return from Essex. Both will be included in your quotation.

Our aim is to always produce interesting and delicious flavours for our clients and each cake is made fresh to order using only the finest ingredients sourced from local suppliers where feasible. Main ingredients include:

  • High quality British butter
  • Higher welfare free-range local eggs
  • Sustainably sourced finest Belgian Chocolate
  • Luxury Swiss fondant icing
  • British flour and sugar
  • Summer seasonal fruit from local Essex farms
  • Ethically produced vanilla
  • Curds, caramels and pralines are all made exclusively in-house.

All of our cakes, biscuits and sweet treats are produced in an environment where gluten, nuts, milk and eggs are present. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that a product will be 100% free-from. We are able to make cakes for clients with intolerances or for dietary preferences but we do not cater for clients or guests with severe allergies as our kitchen is not a certified allergy free work space.

This really depends if you are planning to serve your guests their cake as dessert or in the evening as the portion sizes are quite different. Our wedding portions are defined as 1″ x 1″ x 5-6″ tall and a dessert portion is 1″ x 2″ x 5-6″ tall.

If you are serving your cake in the evening, our recommendation is to accommodate approximately 75-80% of your guest numbers as not everyone will want a slice of cake.

Should you prefer to have a big showstopper cake but do not require as many portions you could consider replacing real cake tiers with artificial ‘faux’ tiers. There is a slight cost reduction with this option but please note that a significant proportion of the price of your wedding cake is for the skill and time decorating.

Yes! We offer a range of additional dessert table items from macarons to iced biscuits, cupcakes, chocolates, brownies and everything in between. Everything is made fresh to order in our kitchen using only the finest, natural ingredients.

Feel free to drop us an e-mail or chat to us about dessert table options during your consultation.

Yes! We offer lots of beautiful edible wedding favour options. From macarons to artisan lollipops, handmade Belgian chocolates to personalised biscuits and everything in between.

There are lots of options available to you to reflect your wedding day and you as a couple.

The price of your cake will depend on a number of factors including:

  • Size (number of tiers & number of portions required)
  • If your cake is being served as your main dessert or as an extra serving in the evening
  • The use of sugar/wafer paper flowers or fresh flowers
  • Design complexity – simple buttercream or a more intricate design.

As a guide, most couples tend to invest between £500-700 for a 3-tier wedding cake (90 portions)

With our cakes you are paying for luxury, natural ingredients, our professionalism and experience to create a delicious work of art.

If you require a cake stand for your wedding cake, which we will discuss during your consultation, we have a variety of options for you to choose from.

Stand hire will vary but is generally between £15-£30 per stand. A damage deposit of between £50-£150 will be charged for all stand hires and will be returned to you when the stand is delivered within 5 days to our Essex Studio, undamaged and clean.

Our booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable in the event of cancellation. Cancellations from the date of booking until 60 days before the wedding will forfeit the booking fee. Cancellations with less than 60 days notice are subject to full payment. If this has not already been paid then the final balance will be immediately payable upon cancellation. This final payment is non-refundable in the event of cancellation if that cancellation occurs within 60 days of the wedding date.

There may be a rare occasion when Honeytree needs to cancel an order due to exceptional circumstances beyond our control*. In this case, as much notice as possible of the cancellation will be given and any monies paid, including deposits which will be refunded. If required, we will also assist in finding a replacement baker of the same high standard to make your cake for you.

*This does not include a force majeure that may occur on the event day.

Brownies

We make all our brownies fresh to order. Our scrumptious brownies have a shelf life of up to 10 days from the day we send them. (We’ll be amazed if you can resist them for that long!)

Yes! They freeze very well. We recommend wrapping them individually in greaseproof paper before freezing. That way, you can just take out as many as you need at a time.

Our brownies and blondies are suitable for vegetarians. As we use butter & eggs in our brownies and blondies they are, unfortunately, not suitable for vegans.

Our brownies do not contain nuts but we make them in a kitchen handling nuts. If you want to see the full nutritional and allergen information for our brownies please view the dietary and allergen advice on each specific product page.

Currently we do not offer gluten free brownies but this is something we are looking to provide soon. Watch this space. 🙂

Some of our flavours are seasonal specials so you may not find them every time you stop by. To be first to know when the seasonal flavours are released then make sure you’re signed up for our newsletter or follow us on social media for the latest news.
